Australia Day Awards

The Australian Honours and Awards system recognises the outstanding service and contributions of Australians.

Recipients come from right across the country and from all walks of life. While some are well-known, the majority are unsung heroes. The awards celebrate those who work tirelessly to improve their local communities and make Australia a better place.

RSL ACT Branch would like to congratulate all recipients on the Australia Day 2022 Honours List.

In particular, we would like to give special mention to Margaret Flett and Kevin “Zero” Zimmerman, Secretary of the Port Moresby RSL Sub Branch, who were this year’s recipients here in the ACT. Their awards are well-deserved and the work they do is very much appreciated.
